Travelling occupies an important part of a normal year for me. I love it and I enjoy visiting new places and getting to know new cultures, cuisines, art etc.

I started travelling young with my family to Turkey for summer holidays, as many Albanian families usually do. Being in Denmark for studies, I was traveling to and from Albania 2-3 times during the year as well as around Europe, mostly in Germany, Netherlands, Norway and Sweden. In 2010 I went for a study abroad in Worcester, MA in the US, 50 min from Boston. I visiting Boston as well as traveled to New York, Philadelphia and Washington DC.

It was not until I started working in Maersk in 2012 that I intensified my travelling. I started with a 2 months stay in Austin, Texas. It was an amazing experience and that is why I returned  back again in 2013 to explore more of it. A separate post on Austin and my experience will be published in the future. I traveled extensively for work to Houston, the so-called capital of oil industry. I did however took advantage of this situation and combined these travels with short vacation; I went to New York, Chicago, Boston, Miami, Denver, Aspen, New Heaven, Kennebunckport, Stowe etc. I like travelling to the US. Also, with Uber and Airbnb it’s easier than ever to travel and be in these places. I also rent a car from Hertz to have more freedom, especially when we go skiing or away from the cities. This is a need in the US.

Apart from US, I got to travel to London, Doha, Aktau and Aberdeen for work. Those were also pretty interesting places to visit, especially Aktau, for which I will dedicate a separate post. On the other hand, I have covered a good past of Europe including: Stockholm, Oslo, Berlin, Hamburg, Leipzig, Munich, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Prague, Vienna, Barcelona, Porto, Warsaw, Rome, Florence , Sienna, Bologna, Milan, Venice, Paris, Nice, Cannes…much more to come I guess.
